Hi, folks: I just came across the D/L link of Kaspersky Personal Security Suites(let's call it KPSS)@majorgeeks.com .I then went to Kaspersky web site, there was a section outling the comparision betwwen these two. Apprently, KPSS has less features than KIS, but cost more($79.95/yr) than KIS($59.95/yr), very confusing indeed. Has anyone had any encounter?

You are correct- KPSS is the older version without the Proactive Defense features. If you are looking to buy, go for KIS 6 and try the trial version for 30 days. This is better integrated, uses less memory and has a better GUI. It hasn't been released for too long a time so many are still using KPSS and older version 5 of KAV so you still see both around the web.

Yes, KPSS is the older version of KIS. A good deal would be to buy the cheaper priced KPSS for USD 59.95, and download a trial version of KIS 6 and use the KPSS 5 Key file on KIS 6 (upgrades for Kaspersky products are free; you just need to use your previous key file).
