Kaspersky AV - control of mail account

    I am using Thunderbird as a mail client and I have my account at Gmail.
    I saw the features of Kapsersky AV on her official webpage and I noticed that Kaspersky AV controls mails only in MS Outlook, Outlook Express and WebMail. Do Kaspersky control mails also in Thunderbird?
