Currently HMP.A, AppGuard, running as Standard User Account and different hardening. And I don't use Windows for for sensitive stuff anymore anyway.
I'm trying to whitelist an ip address to KIS. But for the life of me I can't locate how to do so from searching startpage. All I get is instructions for endpoint security products or from 2015. If anyone can assist how to do this I'd be grateful.
I think the Knowledge Base settings for KIS 20 apply to 21 as well: How to set a connection rule for an application https://support.kaspersky.com/15163#block2 How to set packet rules https://support.kaspersky.com/15163#block3 How to set a range of IP addresses when creating packet rules https://support.kaspersky.com/15163#block4
That's much appreciated! It looks a lot to take in so I'll go through it tomorrow. I'm sure it never used to be such a chore, it was simple as whitelisting a site, which it is pretty much, my vps ip.
Whitelist for what component(s) of KIS? Are you looking to set firewall rules, or rules for the threat detections - scans, etc.? Perhaps you're thinking of the Threats and Exclusions settings? https://support.kaspersky.com/KIS/21.3/en-US/201385.htm Have you tried asking in the Kaspersky forums? https://forum.kaspersky.com/forum/kaspersky-internet-security-13/
You can also look at the Network Settings section: https://support.kaspersky.com/KIS/2020/en-US/68219.htm Especially: Manage exclusions "Clicking this link opens the Exclusions window. In this window, you can generate a list of websites that will not be scanned by the following protection components: Web Anti-Virus Anti-Banner Parental Control URL Advisor Private Browsing Safe Money" Also: Websites "Clicking this link opens a window containing a list of websites. Encrypted connections scans are not performed for these websites."
I need a promo code or a cheaper deal for Kaspersky Security Cloud personal. My license is expiring in 27 days.
Hello @spearpoint As you may have already researched, and using the invaluable posts of @Thankful, no discount codes more recent than mid-March 2022 have been offered for a Kaspersky product from Newegg.
Kaspersky Security Cloud has been discontinued. The direct replacement is Kaspersky Plus. You can get a 50% discount here: Kaspersky Plus - Advanced Internet Security Software | Kaspersky
That's a quick change. I went to that same page yesterday after reading @spearpoint 's post and the banner that now gives a subscription price stated that Kaspersky Security Cloud was no longer available.
But now Kaspersky Free is available: https://usa.kaspersky.com/free-antivirus https://usa.kaspersky.com/downloads/free-antivirus In The Netherlands Kaspersky Security Cloud Free is still available, we have not gotten the new productline yet... EDIT: Sorry I thought you all were talking about Security Cloud Free. So Kaspersky Security Cloud Paid ==> Kaspersky Plus Kaspersky Security Cloud Free ==> Kaspersky Free
