@Krusty -- Thanks for sharing the Kaspersky terms of service -- unconditional requirements, as the terms put forth. Goood grief!!!
Yeah, pretty much any license agreement and/or terms of service basically says you have no rights and the owner of the product/service can do whatever they want and change the terms at will.
Today I got an email regarding a new version. Anyone know if there are any real changes? "Our new free antivirus protection – now updated with extra tools" Free replacement of your trusted antivirus – now in a brand new interface that's even easier to use.
As a test, I downloaded it (new interface present) and started the installation. However, when it saw my email address and existing Kaspersky password, it would not let me install it. It required a purchase to finish the install which is a super bad policy.

This week Kaspersky Free asked me to install an upgraded version [21.5.11.384 (b)], after which websites seem subjectively to be loading slower. Anyone know whether it's actually slower? (Am not using the VPN.) Am using Windows 11 Home version 21H2, OS build 22000.556, with 16 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 3500U 2.10 GHz, and generally an ISP that downloads at 15 - 17 Mbps.
I observed very slow loading of page elements on an old i3 laptop w/ 4 GB RAM and a 9 Mb Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, the Wi-Fi started dropping every hour or two with cryptic error messages beginning March 2, which was the day Patch B installed. This continued until March 8, when I uninstalled KSC Free because I couldn't roll back the patch to test it. The speed problem is resolved, but the Wi-Fi problem continues even after driver rollbacks and updates, so it may or may not have been related to the patch. (I could not find a similar W-Fi issue reported at the Kaspersky support forum.)

Thanks, @Libraman. Patch I was released more than a week ago, but it hasn't arrived here yet. I guess I will probably get it next week then.
I signed into my.kaspersky this morning and had to complete a CAPTHA, then enter the code sent to my mobile phone. It's almost as if they don't want me signing in.
Personally, I hate this extra captcha security BS. My Adobe account sometimes lets me sign in just fine and other times it needs to send an OTP message to my email.
I did a manual Database Update for KSCloud after 12 hours of no update and got a 8 MB update. I don't usually get more than 1.5 MB update. I still don't have Patch I.
