    Before making a nightly incremental image backup, I usually run several Replicator jobs to copy critical files to another drive. Last night I ran Replicator and all the jobs were gone. I ignored it, made the incremental backup and shutdown.

    Today I've managed to restore the jobs.txt file stored on another drive, and Replicator is working normally - almost. For some reason, it will not display the Replicator-log.txt file. Replicator displays the location and size of the file, but when I click View from within Replicator, it displays a blank log. Viewing the Replicator-log.txt file with Notepad shows the file and its data are there.

    Here are the things I've tried:

    Reboot - didn't help
    Uninstall/Reinstall - didn't help
    Uninstall/delete Replicator registry entries/Reinstall - didn't help
    Restored a backup of the hard drive dated prior to the problem - didn't help

    So, can anyone offer any other suggestions on how to get Replicator to display its log file??

    Thanks for any and all help.

    I would manually RENAME its LOG file just in case there are some strange not-viewable characters in that LOG file name, then try again. if it works, you have other problems with that system (That fle name should be normal after your copy).

    Hi TheRollbackFrog! Did as you suggested and renamed Replicator-log.txt to Replicator-log.1txt and then ran Replicator. You fixed the problem! I looked at the bare log and it seems as if it's a layout template or something.

    Here's what was in the log that was renamed:

    {\rtf1\ansi\deff0{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset0 Arial;}{\f1\fnil\fcharset0 MS Sans Serif;}}
    {\colortbl ;\red255\green0\blue0;\red0\green128\blue0;\red0\green0\blue255;}
    \viewkind4\uc1\pard\lang1033\f0\fs20

    Not sure what that is, but whatever it is, you fixed it!!! Thank you!

    Nice to hear that TheRollBackfrog was able to help you fix your log issue.

    And also nice to hear that someone else uses Karen's Replicator. It's never failed me.

    Such a great little app :)

    Yes, it is a great little app and hasn't ever failed for me either. Was sad to hear Karen passed away.
