It's no secret that i am biased toward Ransomoff myself mainly because I been testing the dickens out of it since it first landed the forums and found it quite a formidable addition as an Anti-Ransomware with amazing additional useful feature set.

In my tests with Windows 10 which I installed to Legacy Disk the MBR Protection was solid. I threw Goldeneye + Petya and some other MBR Infectors at it and it stood up to them.

I did D/L Kaspersky ART for Business and am anxious to see what it is but haven't yet tested it.

Other's can better weigh in on how well or not Kaspersky is proved to be for them.

Does Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Business protect the MBR from ransomware?

No. But it will block ransomware from running and roll back attempted file encryption.

I didn't think many people were still using MBR in this day and times.

Neither did I but apparently plenty of them still do and likely many smaller businesses too.

There is a free MBR Filter available from Cisco Talos but one can achieve more effective protection with SRP.

If it can't run, it can't change the MBR and MFT. Period.

The latest Petya attack went after the MFT.

Does it work like Cybereason RansomFree or just with ransomware signatures?
