Just want to know how and what to clean up?

Hello...I recently have been on a board and talking with others on how to clean up my system...I am having alot of pop-ups annoy me and I already downloaded a couple different pop-up blockers. Anyways...I really want to get my system cleaned up and moving faster...I have cable-modem and don't notice much of a difference except I don't get kicked off .I have installed both the ad-aware and the spybot s&d...ran both of them and started a clean up...you'll find below the hijackthis log...(hopefully). I feel as though I have toooo much crap on my system...not sure how it got here...just want it gone. Any help would be appreciated

Hi DoeZ0763,

Did you update AdAware and SpyBot before running them?

Did you allow both to fix what they found?

They should have removed most of those items.

If not go HERE and follow the instructions.

Also please download the latest copy of CWShredder. Run it, click FIX and follow the instructions.

After doing the above, please post a new HJT log.

Download CWShredder and run. Be sure ALL other windows are closed and use the Fix button and follow the instructions you will receive.

I would strongly suggest you remove the following via your Add/Remove Programs Control Panel:

P2P Networking- This program can allow a lot of baddies to enter and infest your system.

SpyWareKiller - Not very good and you now have AdAware and SpyBot to keep you clean.

Reboot and then post a fresh HijackThis log.

Here is you some more info on keeping things clean, Some of this you might already know, but this is a good refresher in that case....

To help keep your system clean, these are also freeware programs that we recommend:
SpywareBlaster - will protect you from all spy/foistware in it's database by blocking installation of their ActiveX objects.
SpywareGuard - provides a degree of real-time protection against spyware that is a great addition to SpywareBlaster's protection method.
IE-Spyad - will put a list of bad domains and sites into the Restricted Site Zone of your IE Browser. This will help protect IE and prevent those drive-by downloads, browser hijacking, ActiveX, Java, popups, cookies, etc, from compromising your computer while you surf.

And of course, you should have a trusted spyware removal program (I recommend having them both as one may catch what the other may not, since they update at different times):
Spybot Search&Destroy
SpybotS&D Setup Tutorial.
Ad-Aware
Ad-Aware Setup Tutorial.
Before scanning with either Ad-Aware or Spybot S&D, remember to bring them up-to-date first.

And the two most important thing to do are:

Checking for updates Windows and IE often by going HERE. This will help cut down on your chances of reinfestation.

And always keep your AV up to date and running resident.

SpyBot and AdAware are on-demand scanners. That means they scan your system when you tell them too and tells you what you are infected with at that moment. They do nothing for keeping baddies out of your system, just help clean them up once they are there. It is usually a good idea to check for updates on them and then scan about once a week.

The other 3 programs are proactive or resident. That means they offer real time protection as you surf around on the internet and help stop the baddies from getting into your system. I would check for updates on these about once a week also.

I'm not quite sure...it seems to be moving really slow...and I have cable modem...I keep getting the one thing pop-up...think its and application for a Macromedia something or other...I keep clicking no...I don't have any problems with any other pop-ups...That zone-alarm pops up everynow and then when it sees something new...I read the info on it and go from there...it's just really moving slow...
