You may want to check with Acronis Customer Service. My understanding is that upgrades are free within 30 days of purchase. Check with Acronis if you can use the Product Key that came with your CD version to download v10.

There is no benefit to having the CD version of the product. A simple download from the Internet of the latest build is the best procedure. If you can get a refund it may be best to return the product.

In terms of Acronis' own guidelines don't install the CD version, simply download the latest build from the Acronis website and install.

Check to see if you have the latest build of ver 9 ... I think it is 3677. Also check to see if version 10 has new features that you need. Many here in the forum, including myself, are sticking with ver 9. (I use build 3677).

    Hello Varoom,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

With regards to your question, our upgrade policy is to provide free upgrade to customers who purchased the software within 30 days prior to the release or after the release of the new version of the product, and also those who have purchased software maintenance or site license.

Please submit a request for technical support. Provide your invoice and the link to this thread and we will assist you.

    Thank you.
