    Perhaps the associated problem - and the AI may be reflecting existing human prejudice as well as exhibiting its own deficiencies - is that people are notorious for doing the same thing. We all form sub-second judgements of people immediately we meet them, and those judgements are unconscious, unfair, and hard to alter. All we can do is to be somewhat humble and aware of our biases.

    I saw one notorious study where CEOs were taller than average; and of course the corresponding studies showing they were not actually worth the money they were paid.

    I can recommend taking one of the online Implicit Association Tests (IAT) in case you feel you are above prejudice and bias.
