    Hello,
I play chess on yahoo. It uses applets. After opening about 10 or 15 games, I can no longer load new games or enter new game rooms.
I would like to understand this problem and how I might fix it.
    Can ya'll help?
    Thanks thanks thanks.

It may be a cache issue. Find a way to clear your Java cache.

can you use ccleaner to clean out the cache?
or go to control panal and click on java and go to the genral tab and empty the temporary files.
maybe it got filled so it needs emptying.
the way to clean out the java cache is above.

I've thought about that, and have done that. I would expect that after clearing the cache, I should be able to resume like normal. But nope. Also, If I reboot WITHOUT clearing the cache, I can play again. Moreover, I've set the temp folder size to aobve 600MB. I doubt that I.E could really load that up in a couple hours of playing games.

    an interesting experiment

try opening your browser in Sandboxie
then open your unsandboxed browser as usual to load a bunch of games till it fails
then go back to the sandboxed browser (which should have separate caches)
and see if the number of open games doubles

if not it might be a GDI \ desktop heap limitation?

or something completely different, just guessing over here ;)
