Java 7 update 65?

Hello,

Every time I try to update java on the laptop it throws up a window that says:

Java update cannot proceed with the current internet connection settings of your system. In your Windows Control Panel, please check internet options>Connections to make sure the settings and proxy information are correct.

Then another smaller window says:

Microsoft JScript compilation error with a yellow caution sign.

I have never run across this before. What exactly does this mean?

 

Best to download straight from oracle. Then uninstall the old & install new.

 

I did uninstall the old java and then updated it and it's working fine, thank you. I thought every time I was installing it, it was uninstalling the old one, but it wasn't.
