It appears that Smart Security has recently began blocking components of ivideoconverter from loading (causing it to fail every time I attempt to open) and when I attempted to reinstall, it tried to block installation of some files. This is an ap that downloads and converts video such as youtube to mp3 files. I have used it for over a year without difficulties. I am not the most savvy user, and I don't see a problem with it. Two questions, how can I determine what the risk is of using this ap? (searches of ESET don't yield results) and is there a way to allow it?

Don't know what info you need, I am using Windows 7 Smart Security 4. I have been using Smart Security for years and Nod32 before that.

    Many thanks -

Not really sure how to do this in a way that provides valuable info. Below is a copy and paste.....

Have a look at this KB article:
    http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2629

This not a malware but a potentially unwanted application (info here) . You can disable this kind of detection or exclude the files from being scanned, or temporary allow them - there is nothing wrong or to be fixed :thumb:
