Does anyone have a rule set up in Look n Stop for iTunes file sharing over a LAN? I have this feature working but it is not dependable and I suspect the firewall might be causing the problem.

I have my iTunes music on an external hard drive in my home office but like to stream this music via the LAN to my living room to be played via a laptop configured as part of my home theater system.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! :)

    Hi,

Is there anything in Look 'n' Stop log, as soon as you detect the problem ?

    Thanks,

    Frederic

Not seeing anything . . .but if I disable the firewall on both computers, everything works as it should. :doubt:

    Hi,

Did you try the usual Sharing rules:
    http://www.looknstop.com/En/rules/rules.htm#Partage

If you tried and it doesn't work, maybe the problem is not related to rules/internet filtering but coming from Application filtering.

Instead of stopping completely Look 'n' Stop, could you just disable the Application Filtering to see if the problem comes from there ?

Also knowing if the problem comes from both PC or only one would help.

    Thanks,

    Frederic
