It seems like most Windows users don't care for Copilot

I honestly hope that this AI boom will settle down eventually, it is getting tiresome. It is not like it is a real AI anyway, it is just an algorithm that combines random queries into one.

When I got the KB5055627 update on Win 11 yesterday first thing I did was Settings..Privacy and Security.... scrolled to the bottom and turned off Save Snapshots (the Recall thing) Mine was ticked by default.
I don't want AI in charge of what is on my machine.

AI is like a bandwagon that everyone is jumping on, automation of everything is the new black.

When it bursts (think South Sea Bubble) I just hope there are enough people around with working brains to run things.

When it comes to stock market I would argue around half of price gains from AI was lost due to some political turbulences in recent month so to speak.
I don't think even completly removing stock price gains from AI would make GenAI go away. It is like new Google Search engine - it is here to stay in some form or another.

Ditto. The question is if this is going to be something that's going to be re-enabled with subsequent updates.
