Hi, I havent got any clue how this probleem came all of a sudden, but now i can't get rid of it anymore. Im unable to uninstall NOD32 and I dont see it at softwares anymore either. I have tried to install it again, but then i get this problem. Controleer of u voldoende rechten hebt om de systeemservice te stoppen. Translated; Check whether you have enough rights to stop the systemservice. Thanks in advance.
Perform a manual uninstall and then reinstall again: How do I manually uninstall my Windows ESET security product?
I don't see NOD32 at software anymore, so am unable to uninstall it through that. I have tried to uninstall it through an uninstall program I found on the eset site, there it says I have to restart my pc to remove everything from my pc, after ive done that, it's still there ;o
Can you confirm that you are running the following application in Safe Mode: http://download.eset.com/special/ESETUninstaller.exe
Ive done it now, I did it under my own account though and not under administrator. there came up a window where i could choose to uninstall it and had to press enter or type y/n... black window something like that. didn't solve the problem though
Could you please post here the log from the Uninstall tool so that we can check if all components were removed properly?
1 question where it might have gone wrong, I have to fill in a sequence, may I ask which numbers? edit; nvm i read it wrong, ill give it 1 more try and make a screen I wanna make sure im doing the correct things, i have listed 3 things I can remove 1. ESS/EAV/EMSX 2. NODv2 3. SEP which one i have to choose?
That's weird. Have you ever had an ESET product installed before? If you run Regedit, do you see the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET? If you select 2 (NODv2), do you get an error? What if you select 1 (ESS/EAV/EMSX)? After running the uninstall tool, a log file should be created. Please post it here.
When you see those three options, we usually recommend hitting 1, ENTER, Y to confirm...then repeat twice more until you see a message that the uninstall was successful. After this, press any key to close the window and reboot normally. Then, if you see the key in RegEdit that marcos pointed you to, let us know.
This fixed the problem, thanks to u and Marcos for replying! very much appreciated it, I usually change anti-virusscanners from time to time, but this will make me sticky
