is Winrar encryption any good ?

    is the facility for creating encrypted archives in winrar as secure as regular encryption programs using same algorythms

    Pretty sure it uses 128bit AES but I don't know how the key generation words, might be MD5.

    128bit AES is very good. MD5 is very bad. But regardless if you use a strong password it should be cryptographically secure.

    yes it does use 128bit encryption,but 7-zip is better with AES 256 bit.
