is this file normal

    hmm that looks strange. i noticed a file of similar size with the same name but .000 as the extension in my install folder

    Probably better for you to wait for the ESET people or some of the more knowledgeable people around here

    Thanks. I'm home now and found no such file in my ESET folder. I called the guy to delete it temporarily.

    I don't have any .xxx file - However I have .000 - 005 which I think should be there.
    Looks like it's the signature database or a part of it, not really sure though.

    NOD32.000 - virus signature database
    NOD32.002 - support for archives
    NOD32.003 - advanced heuristic module
    NOD32.004 - packet worm scanner module
    NOD32.005 - don't know - maybe the list of dangerous websites??
    NOD32.006 - sample collector module

    I suppose Nod32.000 could have been renamed. But if that is true, it would still be 289 kb too big.
