    Are we talking ads or pop-ups?

    Ad blocking can be tough. For me, Adblock Plus, along with tweaks using Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus has been able to block anything I've needed.

    I have never had pop-up problems with Firefox's built-in pop-up blocker failing on any site I have been to...

    using google
    sometime i load a page and it opens a window(pop up)
    no porno , no p2p , no warez
    normal sites
    the more boring, dull pop ups are related to gambling o_O

    Is it okay to list sites with troublesome pop-ups?

    I've not experienced any with Firefox or Chrome ...

    Wow, I haven't seen a true pop-up in a long, long time, especially with Firefox. I'd like to see some examples of links myself.

    Are you sure this isn't some form of malware problem. Might be worth giving your PC a scan with SUPERAntiSpyware or MBAM, both have freeware versions.

    I'm not exactly clear on what the problem is mantra. When you get a popup, is it related to what you were searching for, or totally unrelated. If it's just popups that are the problem, you can use the Tab Mix Plus add-on and configure it to open all popups in tabs. If Google links are redirecting you to adware, I'd make google.com untrusted in Noscript. That's what I finally had to do to rein in Google. You won't be able to search images in Google, but I mostly use Bing for images anyway, I think it's a lot better.

    Disable javascript on the sites you get the pop ups. At least if you talk about torrent and subtitles sites (there is where i get these stupid pop ups about partypoker, williamhill casino and all that crap). If you talk about porn, it won't work cause you won't be able to watch videos anymore,sorry :)
