disabling javascript, flash, acrobat etc manually in browser?

if i just disable all these without adding NoScript addon then would it be better than NoScript or lets say at least at par?

if no, what else i need to disable/modify?

    thanks

I didn't know you can manually disable javascript, flash, acrobat etc in the browser. That's because I always relied on NoScript to get the job done. I disable all forms of scripting on Tor Browser Bundle by the way.

NoScript was made for efficiency, allowing you to easily make rules on websites. Its flexibility and added features makes it more attractive than manually editing browser settings.

NoScript provides much more than that, such as XSS filtering and CSRF protection, though not limited to those.
