also nod32 finds more false positive compared to kav.

i still think that kav gives more protection than nod32.

Thread title or link please. Also one of the things Virus Bulletin considers is detection of FP's and NOD has how many VB100 awards? Here's a discussion on FP's https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=92661

Okay so you wont say I didn't give KAV a fair chance, I switched back to it. I had them both installed anyways to switch from one to another. Have KAV back for a day now settled in, and yeah you were right, it is back to kavsvc.exe at 9,000 K or so and kav.exe is down at around 2,000 K. Didn't have that wild errors anymore, don't know what caused them though. Good call on KAV cause Nod32 would sometimes be steady at around 19,000 K. I do like that Kav internet monitor works faster for me than the one of Nod32. Will still run weekly Nod32 manual scans to see if anything got passed KAV. By the way, why does the network detection has to be disabled?

the network protection only has to be disabled if u have a firewall as there is a possibility they will conflict.

Happy to see that things worked out good for you so far with you :)
About the built-in network protection. i disabled it cause it messed around with my network connections + i have LnS installed for my outgoing and DLL filtering + windows firewall SP2 for incomming connections.

Because it is only meant as basic protection for users without any softwarefirewall protection, it works with Windows firewall and of course Kaspersky's own, but if you use a softwarefirewall already, you may/will run into trouble, either connection or instability. It is the first thing to try when troubleshooting a connection problem. :)

If you use LnS already, why do you have the windows firewall still active?
