    Hi Everyone,

If you want to have File and Printer Sharing (NetBIOS) on a WinXP Pro only LAN, is it still more secure to bind it to NETBEUI? (Or was that only for Win98 & NT?)
The Network Bondage article is great, but it is a little dated (only up to Windows NT).
Does it still apply for WindowsXP?

I know that NETBEUI is no longer supported by MS but that it can still be installed.

    Thanks

    Hello,

No need of Gibson s' bondage on WinXP : you have just to unactivate NetBIOS with TCP/IP on the Internet NIC.
As the different workstation of the LAN have non portable IP it's no problem to have NetBIOS on TC/IP : they cannot be reached from Internet
