    According to this blog:

    http://vmblog.com/archive/2007/01/24/acronis-to-simplify-p2v-and-v2v-server-migration.aspx

"Acronis, Inc. (http://www.acronis.com), a technological leader in storage management software and a VMware Technology Alliance Partner, today announced that it has enabled customers to perform direct physical-to-virtual (P2V) conversion of physical servers into VMware virtual machines as well as virtual-to-virtual (V2V) conversions.

Acronis True Image backup and restore software directly converts and imports backed up servers stored in an Acronis image file to the VMware Virtual Machine Disk (VMDK) format, allowing physical servers to be seamlessly migrated into virtual machines. "

Does anyone know how I can do this with TI Wkstn 9.1 ?

Restoring a TIB to VM is the hard way.

VM Converter does not support TIB at the moment.

    Thnx in advance

    Not quite yet.

IF you read the full article it mentions Acronis Full Circle as the tool that does it. When that gets released you'll get your answer for a program to do it. But as for CW doing it, doubt they'll migrate the technology into CW.

Actually, after re-reading the article my self, it looks like it just may... Eventually.

    Hello mecalvint,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please note that as Unit01 mentioned that above statements is related to a functionality of the new product Acronis Full Circle, which will be released in the nearest future.

Please have a look at the following articles Full Circle Enables Virtual Server Migration, Conversion and Acronis to Simplify P2V and V2V Server Migration to find more information about the Acronis Full Circle.

    Thank you.

Quoting statement from this press release:

"Acronis True Image backup and restore software directly converts and imports backed up servers stored in an Acronis image file to the VMware Virtual Machine Disk (VMDK) format, allowing physical servers to be seamlessly migrated into virtual machines."

Our customers are now requesting this functionality, based on the above press release. Is there an more concrete ETA on when this functionality will be available in True Image product (as committed to in the above press release)?
