    Welcome Shellenstein,

Regarding those upload/download servicesI've bought a few months ago a 1 month subscription at RAPIDSHARE.DE

Everything I download goes through them with a minimum of 500kb/sec. and there are days I'm downloading at 1,5MB/Sec!!!

    Hello,
Nothing online is private. You should always be aware of that.

You can use AxCrypt to encrypt your images and then upload them eg.: to SendSpace.
They can use AxDecrypt to decrypt them, that one does not instal, with your password.

I use rapidshare to send and receive files, usually old versions of apps, configuration files, or samples. I wouldn't send anything you want kept private thru these sites without encrypting it. If privacy of the content is not a concern, then just take the usual precautions when downloading new files, AV scans, etc. I can't comment on other sites, but Rapidshare seems OK so far.
