...to disable realtime malware detection of prevx :(
    I only want SafeOnline :'(
its the only thing I need for my security setup.

my pc is very slow even when I only have Prevx (advanced heuristics disabled) running in the background thats because of my really old harddrive.
I dont want alot of I/O reads.

I was switching back and forth with Trusteer Rapport and Prevx.

Prevx SafeOnline cons: very high I/O reads due to frequent re-authenticating files / realtime infection monitoring
Trusteer Rapport cons: less secure features.

It may be better to solve the I/O reads themselves - could you please send a scan log to report@prevxresearch.com? We should be able to optimize your scanning from there but also note that you're not only receiving SafeOnline features but also all of the Prevx antimalware technology :) It may be worth looking to see when the I/O occurs - it should likely only be during scheduled scans rather than during realtime operations, and this shouldn't necessarily be a problem because scans should be rather fast.

Let me know if you have any questions!

mmkay, i'm not pushing the subject any further. :cautious:

I'll continue using prevx... I'll bear with the antimalware part. :<

I think one solution could be to provide the following:

Upon installation clearly say to the user that SafeOnline is backed-up by an antimalware component, and may detect what their other antimalware products doesn't, hence advising to install the full package, even in the facebook version, that even not cleaning, it will alert them.

Thoso who only wish the SafeOnline component, would keep only this one.
