I am using ERA 3.1.11 and with nod32 4 and would like to ensure that web browser active mode is on for internet explorer

Is it possible to do this using ERA and policies?

It is possible but difficult. The policy manager/configuration editor does not currently have settings to do it through the GUI so basically you have to directly edit the policy xml files in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET Remote Administrator\Server\cache\policy\
(the files are named .tmp but are just renamed xml files). I did this by taking a desktop client and exporting the configuration with active mode off and on, then compared the differences and edited the policy file to make the change.

    Hello roga,

The info from SmackyTheFrog is currently the best solution for this. You could also export the XML file from a client and remove everything but the section you want and then import that as a new child policy. Other than those 2 options, there is no other way as of right now.
