is it necessary to purge software distribution folder ?

    title says it all !

    I have win 7 pro. Software Distribution become bloated since I installed win7.

    Dial-a-fix only work in XP. any thoughts ?:doubt:

    I purge mine occasionally. I read somewhere if you ever do a system recovery it uses those files to restore all your old updates, otherwise you have to download them all again. That's the only reason I know of for keeping them. You can burn them to CD if you want to get them off your system, then you'll have 'em if you need 'em.
