Currently I have 1 internal hard drive:-

NTFS (C:) Pri Act 199.7 GB type NTFS
    FAT32 (I:) Pri 3.3 GB type FAT32(LBA)
    FAT16 Pri 62.7MB type FS:FAT16 partition :0>

I have the dell partition re ctrl F11

When doing a complete disk backup is it necessary to copy the FAT32 and FAT16 or will the NTFS (C:) be adequate? Replies appreciated...

I think you've already gone beyond this point post based upon your other thread.

I have already created a backup earlier, but when I did it I just backed up the C: drive. Is it maybe best to back up the other also? I was a little uncertain what they referred to....Howard:)

    Hello Howard,

If you want to keep the Dell MBR then don't ever activate TI's Startup Recovery Manager (SRM) as it will be overwritten by TI's own special MBR (create a Secure Zone if you really must but don't accept the default option to also activate the SRM). Allowing TI to overwrite the MBR will result in you loosing the ability to boot from Dell's hidden Recovery partition.

To ensure that your current MBR is included in a TI image you must choose to backup the whole hard drive by ticking the box adjacent to the system Disk (usually Disk 1) rather than the individual partitions. See this previous thread titled <Does TI copy the MBR> for explanatory screenshots.

    Regards
