In a word, yes it's still a fairly useful tool although it has been quickly eclipsed & distanced now by other even more aggressive ARK'S like RootRepeal, USEC Radix, AVZ Anti-Viral tool which by the way is updated DAILY! to my surprise and Kernel Detective 1.21, k-Xray, HookShark, etc.

Some say ole Gmer is still valid but i never had much luck with it personally.

There are still others who's names escape me atm, but Ice Sword can be useful in some circumstances, however IMO it needs to catch up and update soon or be left behind before too much longer.

Yes - hasn't been updated in a while.

    icesword - hacker defender

notice the hacker defender files don't show up on the desktop, but do in icesword.

After killing the process and service they reappear.
