    In a word no. Most users won't or shouldn't turn on advanced features anyway, unless you are a webdeveloper looking for PR numbers.

    And feel free to block google cookies, the site still works.

    That should settle most of the questions. As for the autoupdate, put on a packet sniffer on it, and you will see nothing malicious is being transmited.
