Sorry if this is a stupid question. If it is just a malware scanner then what virus scanners do you recommend that work best with Emsisoft ?
which windows? since windows 10 you dont need another antivirus. or you try to get along with issues, they will happen.
I have been using Emsisoft for many years for a second scan in all my system - whatever av I use in real time - and it's always effective and reliable. If I paid for an antivirus, Emsisoft would be my only choice.
The stupid question is the one not asked. That said, I really wish this malware vs virus controversy would just go away!!!! Malware is just a generalized portmanteau - a single "catch-all" word made by combining the words "malicious" and "software". Malware includes spyware, Trojans, worms, ransomware, rootkits and other malicious software, including viruses. The problem here boils down to simple marketing terms. As is often the case, marketing weenies frequently misuse or make up words. For example, "wireless router" is an inaccurate "marketing" term as technically, there is no such thing. A router is a wired device with one input and one output. A so-called "wireless router" is an "integrated device" - one device that just happens to integrate a router, WAP (wireless access point), and typically a 4-port Ethernet switch into one box. 3 discrete network devices sharing a common circuit board, case and power supply. Bottom line - you were unsure so you were wise to ask the question!
