    Metal425..........

I would suggest you install KAV before you install Comodo. There have been known problems with the KAV install if Comodo or Sunbelt Kerio are installed first. I had the problem with Sunbelt Kerio. I asked at the Kaspersky forum, and was told to uninstall Kerio, install KAV, and then install Kerio. I've read the same thing some times happens with Comodo. Just a little info you might be interested in. :)

KAV wont actually let you install it until Comodo is removed, if you already have it. Im running KAV7 alongside Comodo 2.4 with no problems. KAV6 also works very well indeed. Just install KAV first, reboot as requested, then install Comodo and do another reboot. Smooth sailing from then on! ;)

Is this config necessary if KIS7 already provides the best package all around? That is, does running a package like KIS take less resources than running KAV and comodo?

yes the KIS firewall is good enough IMO, and probably lighter than KAV+Comodo. I think Kaspersky's heavy part is the AV module.

This is the best way to install these applications. This will work for KAV 7 as well.
