Apple's big announcement was the iPhone [engadget.com] What do you think? What impact will it have on the cell phone market? In the end will it help Apple capture a large market share with desktop computing as a byproduct?

its meant to be in alot of counties on most networks.
this morning i was thinking they should put two battery's in it one for phone and one for music so if you your music dies the phone doesnt.
    and guess what?
    it does have two battery's.
the odd thing is it doesn look like an ipod lol.
but i dont like the look of ipods but like the look of the iphone.
btw apple might get sued soon iphone was taken as a name for a product years ago so if apple keep calling it iphone the company who has the trademark might sue them:D

USA still the best. But barely.
Cisco is not to be fooled with & or bullied. I mean jeez. The only other two companies in related fields that are as financially healthy are Microsoft & Google. With Cisco I believe uncontested at #3.

So if Apple wants a fight. They picked a doozie of an opponent.

Honest? I think that, at least for Europe, the Apple iPhone is to little, to late. Expensive; Locked down operating system; Only Itunes for music downloads etc. A lot of this will not be accepted by the providers, who will want a part of the action...

Compare it to a HTC TyTN Windows Mobile Smartphone, and I think no more words are necessary, IMNSHO :D
