    Hi all,

I was playing around with a few things yesterday, one of them being this http://xerobank.com/support/articles/how-to-prevent-vpn-dns-leaks/ from SteveTX

It all worked perfectly, all but the ipconfig /flushdns command. This kept telling me that an error has occured and teh command coulnd't be fulfilled.

I am a bit at a loss here now, as I have no idea why that flushdns wouldn't work. What could be the problems for the /flushdns command not working?

On a side note, hoe important is that /flushdns command in use with OpneVPN securing?

Would be great if someone could shed some light here :)

As far as I know, this can happen due to the "DNS Client" service being stopped. I have this service stopped and I get the following error if I try to flush DNS cache:

Could not flush the DNS Resolver Cache: Function failed during execution.

I have the DNS Client on Automatic and I get the same error as you.
