Apple has released iOS 6.1.3 for iPhone (3GS and later), iPad (2nd generation and later) and iPod touch (4th generation and later) devices. The company says that the update offers improvements as well as bug fixes – including code to fix the vulnerability that has been publicly known for over a month and which allowed potential attackers to bypass the code lock in order to access the telephone app, contacts and photos.

One day after iOS 6.1.3, a new iPhone lock screen bug emerges

Just a day after Apple released iOS 6.1.3, a new lock screen bug has been discovered that could give an attacker access to private information. The vulnerability is different from the passcode bug(s) addressed by Tuesday's iOS update, but the end result is similar: access to iPhone's contact list and photos.

Apple Whack-a-Mole: One day after Apple patches 2 lock screen bugs, another one pops up

Perhaps Apple will provide a coupon for a free game of Whack-a-Mole with its next iOS update.
From personal experience I know bugfixing can be like putting up wallpaper: smooth down one air bubble, only to watch it pop up again in another place. Which apparently is exactly what Apple is doing recently with its iPhone operating system, iOS.
