That folder is usually associated with Zone Alarm and used for ZA configuration. You would not be able to delete it totally unless you do it properly.

What files can be safely deleted in the Internet Logs folder?

    Hello Bubba,

Thank You for responding, I should've expanded a little bit more.

I'm doing a "clean" uninstall of ZA Pro, in order to determine if this the cause of my 'active x' problems. Most recently cannot download Adobe Flash, as the little yellow bar fails to appear. Likewise PCpitstop won't run. You helped in the past, & I contacted M$ tech., you wanted me to uninstall ZA, I was not prepared at that time. The instructions are from Don Hoover, who hangs out at Castle Cops. ZA clean removal:

    1. backup ZA settings (using ZA)
    2. r-click ZA's uninstaller > properties > append the line to add /clean
to the end of exsisting line
    3. Open ZA choose do not load at boot
    4. Reboot
    5. Run ZA's uninstaller
    6. delete temp files
    7. delete "folder" c:\windows\internet logs
    8. dump the trash, recycle bin

Then test 'active x' stuff. If solved run ZA's installer clean. If not solved run ZA installer & restore ZA's settings.

What I was not sure about is/was Mr. Hoover's #7, so with your enlightenment, I believe this is/was un-necssary worry on my part.

    Thanks & Take Care

    Hi Bubba,

The clean install of ZA did not solve my active x dilemma. One thing interesting though at Adobe download center, clicking install, you can actually see movement, near the top of the screen. Like the yellow bar, tries to show up, but is invisible. ZA stealth's my XPSP2 yellow bar. I click all over the area but to no avail. The re-install went, not entirely smooth, as the backup of ZA's settings failed.

Some other tries to fix "yellow bar" blues, included & failed were:

    Download & re-install SP2
    Repair install XP
    IE fix
    safe mode with networking
clean of IE delete all cookies & much more
    domains to trusted zone
    new user account
    M$ support
reset everything IE to default settings
    remove ZA

Note: this is not the necessarily the order of attempted repair, but what i remember trying.

So what's the diff. between "Shockwave" & "AdobeFlashPlayer", I know flash is up-to ver 9 & I have 6. Is there an alternative way to download these other than Adobe Download Center. Does the previous versions Shock & Flash need to be un-installed prior to install of the new versions. I won't be silly enough, to delete Shock & Flash till I have the new ver. safely on my hdd.

Stay tuned for the adventures of, Shock & Flash

    Thanks & Take Care
