Internet Explorer closes with imon.dll fault

    Using IE6, Nod32 version 2.70.32 and WinXp Sp2. All updates are current.About twice a day I get the following message in the event log after IE gags and has to be shut down. Nothing new added for at least 3 months since installing Nod32 (Except for Windows and Nod32 Updates):

    Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module imon.dll, version 2.70.32.0, fault address 0x0002472a.

    Any suggestions other than a reinstall of Nod32?

    Only suggestion from me would be a reinstall.

    Do you run NOD32/IMON in Higher efficency mode for IE6 ? If so , turn it to Higher compatibility . Before I upgrade to IE7 , I often got the same warning/error if I had IMON on HE for IE6

    I would also recommend that after you uninstall this version of nod32, that you ensure you have the latest installer by downloading again -and - that you remove the folder:

    C:\Program Files\Eset

    empty the trashcan

    restart

    before installing the new nod32 installer.
