When Internet Explorer 9 was first released, so users were unhappy that they no longer could see "Protected Mode" status displayed in the browser. There's a program that adds it back, which is the open source project "Classic Shell". But this app also has some other features, and many may not want to download it just for that.

Today, I was looking for something else, and found that an old Microsoft app, PrivBar, was updated in 2011 to show the current integrity level.

It may be useful for some, so I thought of mentioning here: -https://blogs.msdn.com/b/aaron_margosis/archive/2011/09/01/privbar-update.aspx?Redirected=true
