So now I can use it for simple web browsing more instead of backup/compatible. Still not going to replace Chrome until extensions and other features (like profile sync) arrives.

On my system: x64 W7 SP1, Ivy Bridge 3570K CPU, a SSD with 8GBs of RAM. The worst Speed Battle score ever, 604. Go figure! In comparison: IE 10 was consistently 800s, Ff 24 x32 is now 1000s, Cyberfox and Pale Moon 900s.

Will the preview need to be manually uninstalled before the official version can be installed?

I will assume yes since that has been the case previously.
Just installed and as the others have said, it is very fast.

How are you finding it in terms of compatibility? I've heard complaints about web pages not rendering correctly, bank sites not recognizing the browser, etc.

this is very good to hear.
All this makes very eager for me to update when 8.1 is release.
Base metro apps should benefit from this i think...

I haven't been using it long enough that I have run into any issues yet. I could see banking sites having issues as it is a prerelease, but I will not be using it for that on this machine. It's been good so far.

I uninstalled 11! So here are the x64 11 vs 10 scores! I'm not sure what these parameters even are. For the most part I just rounded the number. The best 11 scores: Calculate/105, Store/496, Render/7 for a total of 609
    10's scores Calculate/73, Store/705, Render13 for a total of 790
I don't use IE much but did think since x64 v10 was really snappy.
