First, would you please send a copy of the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\XENWAN32.EXE file to submit_stuffATxs4all.nl for analysis? (replace 'AT' by @)

We're pretty sure it doesn't belong on your computer, but we would still like to have a closer look at it. We'd also want to submit copies to developers in the security field if it turns out to be a brand new baddie.

    Much appreciated :)

The file could possibly have the "Hidden" attribute. Here's how to show hidden and operating system files

After sending us that file, check, and have Hijack This fix the following items:

    F1 - win.ini: run=.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LoadQM] loadqm.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [J27bnn8f.exe] C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\J27BNN8F.EXE
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AutoUpdater] "c:\Program Files\AutoUpdate\AutoUpdate.exe"
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qF2g36g] WUCMQSVR.EXE
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [botmRWMpW] XENWAN32.EXE

    O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://207.188.7.150/0720309b30fea7...ip/RdxIE601.cab
    O16 - DPF: {FF65677A-8977-48CA-916A-DFF81B037DF3} - http://download.overpro.com/WildAppNonUS.cab

    Reboot, then delete:

The entire contents of your C:\WINDOWS\TEMP folder
    The c:\Program Files\AutoUpdate folder

    And that Xenwan32.exe file.

Thanks for the file; it turns out to be Apropos adware, and is therefore unlikely to have been your culprit:

    Dr.Web: Trojan.AproposAd
    F-Secure Anti-Virus: TrojanDownloader.Win32.Apropo.f
    Kaspersky Anti-Virus: TrojanDownloader.Win32.Apropo.f

The most likely candidate would therefore have to be C:\Windows\Temp\J27bnn8f.Exe

You probably already deleted that one, if not a copy would be appreciated!

    Cheers,
