I scanned my java cache folder with DrWeb v4.32b, and found some java nasties. For the fun of it, I archived them with WinRAR v3.30 using the following options: Archive format - RAR, Compression method - Best, Archiving options - Create SFX archive and Lock archive.
I then submitted the file to jotti and virustotal, with results in the links below.

Talking about java nasties, I have been seeing more java nasties lately. Anybody else? Is java more secure?

Most people have not updated their Java Sun to version 5.0 update 1 which is the latest. It is a must update for security.

    :)

I think jotti's results do not remain online. If you want to post results of a given test from that site, you need to do a screenshot. Otherwise the stuff rapidly gets replaced.

Unfortunately for some we are stuck using portal software to log into work...

In my case I tried Sun Java 5 but it doesn't work with an older version of Sun Portal and using a netlet tunnel (sigh)

What exactly are the security enhancements in Java 5.0 ?

MWSnap 3.0 will give you even better snapshots; GIF, JPEG or some other formats, if you want to use that.

    Best regards,
    Firefighter!

Thx for recommending MWSnap FireFighter! Seems like a very nice freeware prog! Will check it out. :)

Regarding the pictures, i was just a bit too lazy and I didn't cut the pictures after the initial snapshot. :p
