Interesting differense in latency with VPN providers.

I am testing different VPN providers right now.
    Anonine
    NordVPN
    Kaspersky Secure connection.

With Anonine and NordVPN the latency is horrible. It takes 10-15 seconds to load the first page I write to the adress bar och from a bookmark. But funny enough once reached the first page, like CNN .com for example links in that site works fast enough, no disturbing latency. (What is that all about btw?) And this is with Anonine“s and Nordvpn“s VPN servers here in Sweden! 3 miles from me. It doesnt matter what time I try so it doesnt seem to be a congestion problem with many users on the same server.
But with Karspersky Secure connection I have no problems at all with latency. With Kaspersky SC I am connected to a server in Czechoslovakia! With the free version I have only 200mb download so I cant test it for long periods of time (resets after 10 hours), but during that time everything is fine. When I use a Czech server in Anonine or NordVPN it still horribly slow loading the first web page.

My question is what does Kaspersky (powered by Hotspot shield apparently) do that Anonine or NordVPN cant?
I might add that according to https://ipleak.net/ Kaspersky VPN is as secure as the other two.

could be due to reverse proxy check performed by websites when anonine or nord in use.
given that anonine & nord have much more subscribers than kaspersky does,it could be the culprit behind initial visit latency.

Thanks for your input. I emailed Nordvpn support and they did answer within an hour, on a Sunday :)

The support told me to go to the properties for IPv4 and change "interface metric" from automatic manual and insert 16 or more. That did the trick. I have no clue what that is but now the webpages load as fast as if I surf through my regular ISP. I guess the VPN providers have different configurations.
