"Grisoft supplies anti-virus software to 25 million PCs"
I can't believe that many people would use a flawed Antivirus product like AVG.
25 million users might have a different view
Detection Rate, Resources, Interfaces. Personally out of the 3 Free AV i would rate AVG at the lowest. ( Eversince AntiVir has incremental update )
Although i hope they improve. May be they have version 8 up their sleeves?
But why Intel's interested on AV market ?
I think it is intel invesment... slightly diference to Intel. May be they have too much cash and they thought they should invest into something rather than sitting there doing nothing.
They'll get % back for sure if GriSoft will show some more profit...
Optimize its software....I think thats the key words.....Now we'll have Grisoft AVG....."Runs best on Intel Inside". Puh-leeze!
Well if it was intel optimizing their software i will surely look forward to it ( Intel is known to be good at this )
Resources aside, they need to bring up their detection rate.....
Yeah for their own CPUs only. We don't want that don't we?
I for one do not like it when software is optimized for one brand of CPUs only....Its just not fair, especially if you benchmark with the AV for the amount of time taken, because the two brands of CPUs are not competing on equal grounds.
Finally I begin to see the relevance of this 'report'
LOL *cough* Ehhem....Intel Pentium 4 VE LOL
