Intego AV and Firewall

People,

I've just asked about an Av for a new MAC and among the names came Intego. I've read somewhere that it uses Bitdefender engine. So, would it be true that I get the same level of protection that I get with Bitdefender? And that the AV-Compatatives test for Bitdefender would also apply to Intego AV?

i dont think AV comperatives tests would work for MAC AV's, because the same windows viruses might not affect a mac.

 

But what about overall detection? Including Windows viruses?

 

i cant comment on detection, cause i would never dare touch a mac again in my life at least until macs take over the world... but windows viruses would have no affect on a mac, so u dont need to worry there.

 

But I also don't wish to spread it just because it wasn't detected.
