Installing LNS 2.07 in Windows 7

Hi!
I´m gonna make a fresh install of Windows 7.
I have doubts wheter I should install LNS 2.07 VC 2005 or the other package without VC 2005.
I read in other post that VC 2005 isn´t required for Windows 7. In that case I should be OK with the package that doesn´t have it included.
On the other hand, if I install the VC 2005 package, is it necessary for me to be connected to the internet or the package itself have every file required?

try without and see how it goes.

 

You can look in the Add/Remove list to see if VC 2005 package is listed? If not then install the packaged one with VC 2005!

Well...
Yesterday I did my experiment and this is what i´ve learnt:

1) The VC 2005 package doesn't include the required files. It tries to connecto to LNS site to download de VC++ package (I find this quite weird cause it forces you to be conected to Internet in order to install a firewall).

2) The package without VC 2005 won't install directly in a fresh installation of Win 7 Ultimate (Without any update) if VC 2005 runtimes are not installed before.

Maybe this is useful for somebody!
