    Hello,

I uninstalled ESET NOD32 and now I am trying to install it again. Every single time I get the following message:

"A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\EAV.msi"

I seem to have removed every single trace of NOD32's previous installation. Also, I have uninstalled and (seemingly - maybe I'm wrong) totally removed every other security program I ever had.

    Any help?

It seems that the original msi file needed for reinstallation was removed. Uninstall EAV in safe mode per the instructions here.

I've had that before when I renamed the .msi installer file before I ran it. The system seems to remember the renamed file.

Try running the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove any Eset entries, then install again.
