Installation error code (120) and more........

Hi!

I cannot install NOD32 antivirus with this error message (from italian installation to english):

NOD32 Setup
(120) An error has occured ......... to register system
NOD32MOD_WINNT_ITALIAN_STANDARD

What's this?
Can you help me?

Error 120 means "error in registering NOD32 service".

I guess NOD32's files are already extracted.You need to run test installation of NOD32 and provide a log file .
Open Start->Run
Type cmd and press ENTER
Type cd\ and press ENTER
Type C:\Program files\ESET\Install\setup.exe /test and press ENTER


In the folder C:\Program files\ESET\Install\ a log file called NSETUP.log will be created . Open it via Notepad and post its content here using Copy/Paste
N.B !!! C:\ is the letter of your main hard drive . Program files is the name of the folder where english Windows XP places the programs . Also note that there is a space between .exe and /test

sometimes, this is caused by insufficient permission's. Even when you are logged as an Admin, check if you have full control for HKEY_LM and HKEY_CU registry. You can do that by right click on mentioned registry from Regedit, select permissions and then set full control for Admin. Don't forget to mark Interit.... from Advanced option in Permission window.
