We are receiving NOD32 error messages on daily boot of our WinXP desktop. System Information is below. Error log entries are copied below.

This PC had these error messages start suddenly. No new software was installed. The errors just started.

We sent a support ticket form from the eset web page. It was refused with a secure page error message. Note to ESET: failure to accept emails from your web page is bad business. Customers fill out information and get nothing. Bad, Bad, Bad. It makes you look bad if you make a web page that fails. Send this to your web person.

Note: Previous posts reported initialization errors after updating to version 3 or version 4. Our version is 2.70.39.0. We are having the problem, too.

We want to find a way to end the errors. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your assistance in this pesky matter.

    Hi,

You're using NOD32 Antivirus v2, not v3/v4 so you put this in the wrong section. ESET NOD32 Antivirus is for v3/v4 and v2 is for v2.

    Regards,

    Mark.

If you getting any errors pertaining to bootup

Kernel Error initializing file submission system (Used to send suspicious files for analysis)
Kernel Virus Scanner could not be initialized. NOD32 System modules may not function properly.

You will need to do uninstall a version 2.7 / 3.0 / 4.0 then reinstall

If you are having trouble, create a ticket from

    http://www.eset.com/support/contact.php

I will make sure your issue gets resolved if you PM me your #

    Cheers !

According to another source, this is caused by a corrupt signature database version and a simple reboot or manual update may can solve the problem. It apparently worked for me.
