infection problem

    hi all

    here is the situation a froiend of mine got infected with some nasty he cleaned it up but has to been left with 2 files he cant get rid of

    C:\WINNT\Downloaded Program Files\CONFLICT.1\webdlg32.dll

    and

    Source: C:\WINNT\Downloaded Program Files\webdlg32.dll

    now he has tryed locatine these files with out sucsess dispite enabling hidden files

    so i though the quickest way to fix this is with a cleaning batch file that will wipe the conents of the Downloaded Program Files folder at boot up

    trouble is that my experties with batch files is limited and i cant get it working

    Hi Bethrezen,

    Have you tried looking for and deleting them in Safe Mode?

    as far as i know he has and has still had no luck

    hi all

    sorry for the long delay in replying found a tool that could find and wipe out thgoughs files so this problem is solved

    Was it Killbox or perhaps CopyLock (in case anyone else has a problem with deleting files).
