Hello. We notice that when making an "incremental" backup, the image is saved as a second, smaller file, rather than added to the existing main image. If we want to restore an image that *includes* the incremental backup, how would we do that? We are afraid that if first we restore the main backup, and then restore the incremental backup, the incremental back up will wipe-out! the main backup?

    Hello timmy,

When restoring from incremental images you will be given a choice, by date and time, of corresponding restore points. Select which point in time you wish to restore to and TI will work out which image files it needs to include in the restore (i.e. the full image plus any necessary incrementals in between). Hope that makes sense.

    Regards

Oh I get it, thanks. Since posting this we have switched to the "secure zone" for storing images. There does not seem to be any way (at least none we could find?) to check on the size of the images in the secure zone, since it is hidden. It would be nice if we could at least look in there, promising not to touch anything. But no, unless you know a way? We do notice that when we make "incremental" backups, they are the same size as full ones, which seem strange. Whether they end up that way, ie same size as full, in the secure zone, we have no way of knowing since, as described above, that file is "hidden." Any solutions possible? Thanks and rgds
