When does Microsoft NOT always cause issues and problems for users?
Also malware developers best most reliable associate and friend as well as profitable funding source.

This has been known to be a problem from the beginning. I still say a VM for Linux beats a dual boot setup.

Some systems run like crap using VM's. Mine smoke on virtual but older machines might not.

Let me offer a suggestion that works fine: Why not move the /boot files needed to mount your Linux OS to a bootable flash drive? You only need a 250 meg flash and moving the /boot files is super easy. In fact you could have a pile of bootflash files and create multiple partitions all booting exactly perfectly to their designated /boot flash device. Its easy. Maybe you give up a touch of convenience but its worth it for having TOTAL independence for the operating systems.

Flash drives have too short of a lifespan. Maybe an external drive or something. You could also install a swappable drive bay and swap disks.

For what its worth. I'm multi-booting with BootIt UEFI...

    Win11
    Win8.1
    Linux Mint
    Linux Ubuntu
    Linux Debian

I just used BitLocker to encrypt the Win11 partition. All OS still boot normally.
BitLocker has been removed. I don't use it.

BitLocker was used again to encrypt the Win11 partition. Fedora 36 was then installed to the same disk. Fedora and all other OS booted normally.

BitLocker has been turned off and Fedora has been deleted.
